Inspiration comes in many forms and today it comes from the world famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, whose 163rd birthday falls on this day 25 June. Gaudi is known for his distinctive and fantastical style, the unfinished Sagrada Familia, seven world heritage listed sites and the stunning mosaics in the Parc Guell. My husband has long been transfixed by the work of Gaudi and so it features heavily on our trips to Barcelona. My husband has also banned me from buying more wrapping paper as it is slowly overtaking our home – so this wrap served two purposes – a nod to the beautiful purple and blues of a Gaudi mosiac along with a chance to lovingly use some of my precious paper offcuts. Yes…this took me a while but it was wonderfully therapeutic and it is an achievable way to make wrapping pop.
