Let them eat cake

Today 2 November is the birthday of Marie Antoinette the Empress who was at the centre of the French Revolution. Stories and quotes abound about Marie Antoinette with perhaps her most famous uttering in response to the hunger of the masses being “let them eat cake!” So for her birthday I have a restrained wrap ( in contrast to her reign) featuring a paper of the period matched with a pastel blue bow against a line drawing background with just a hint of regal jewellery of pearls with a sapphire clasp. I quite like the patterned gift on different patterned background here as I think they strangely work together.
