A day for all

If you want to make a point then you have to go bold, which is why I have flouro colours for this 3 December, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The day has been observed since 1992 with the bold aim to promote an understanding of disability issues and highlight the importance of respect, dignity and well being… a day for all in anyone’s language. This is summed up in the theme for 2015 which is “Inclusion Matters: access and empowerment of people of all abilities”. I have chosen a zig zag paper, with orange paper rafia and a striped back ground in the same colours to highlight the day. I had not worked a lot with paper rafia but it’s worth a go and provides an alternative when ribbon is too a bit too flouncy.
