Today 8 May is Mother’s Day and so we have gathered en famille to acknowledge the grand matriarch Juda who likes nothing more than a high tea. It’s a chance to dust off the heritage tea cups, bust out the ribbon sandwiches and whip up the cream for the scones.
It’s a beautiful mid May afternoon out here in the country and so were going to sit around a round table and just natter away… three generations solving the problems of the world in the late afternoon sun. And seeing a double dissolution has today been called by my Mother’s poster boy Malcolm Turnbull we shall have to break my Mother’s etiquette rule and discuss politics and maybe a few other cheeky things as well.
My gifts are wrapped in a fabulous hot pink pattern with yummy pink bows. There’s a bunch of chrysanathamums for mum, a family shot Mum just loves and a some fine English bone China to top it off.
