The long march for equality

Today 26 August is Women’s Equality Day. It is a day proclaimed each year by the President of the US to commemorate the granting of the vote to women in that country. On this day in 1920, US Women were granted the right to vote when the 19th amendment to the US constitution was passed. Sure this is a US thing but we should never miss an opportunity to support equality for women and acknowledge our sisters who came before us. We should also remember men of quality respect women’s equality. So our wrap today features the distinctive purple and green ribbons of the women’s movement in a warp and weft pattern to symbolise the ups and downs, overs and understand of the march to equality.
